ABHI is leading a Medical Technology mission to the USA in May. The mission will focus on the state of Texas, taking in Austin, San Antonio and Houston. The purpose of the visit is to create demand for products and to build relationships with KOL’s, hospital system C-Suite, clinical leaders and buying organisations. There will also be opportunities to connect with potential partners and distributors in the state.
Texas has scale and ambition to grow its health and life sciences industry. With the highest number of hospitals of any US state, it has the second largest population at +27m and is already the 7th largest health economy in the world.
ABHI in recent months has been working with a number of partners both in the UK and the USA to build relationships in Texas, as part of the development of a wider US strategy, for the purpose of using the state as a ‘soft landing’ for UK MedTech companies building their business in the USA.
This first mission to Texas in May will introduce you to a range of health leadership teams from many of the USA’s largest hospital systems, including the US Military systems, as well as clinical communities, R&D and buyers across the state.
The mission is being supported by leading AHSN’s, UK Government and industry groups. Supported by ABHI, FCO, UKTI and AHSN’s, companies will benefit from close support and expertise.
Welsh Assembly Government are supporting the ABHI mission to Texas in May by covering 50% of all the costs of the trip, including flights and accommodation for any Welsh company going on the visit.
