DESCRIPTION:As part of the LifeScience Academy Autumn training workshops\, leading patent and trade mark attorneys Abel & Imray host this workshop on trade marks\, copyright and designs. \nOverview \nTrade marks are valuable assets irrespective of the size of a business yet the importance of trade marks and the benefits of obtaining registered trade mark protection are often overlooked. The workshop will focus on the basics of trade mark law and the issues which matter in practice\, and has been designed to provide companies with the knowledge required to develop and implement an effective trade mark strategy. DESCRIPTION:This workshop is delivered by two experienced and successful proposal writers\, Peter Quantick and Dayne Hodgson from RedKnight. Peter and Dayne have extensive hands-on experience in the development\, management and delivery of UK based and EC funded projects. They are also project and programme evaluators for external organisations such as the European Commission which gives them a unique insight into the success indicators of proposals. \nOver the last 15 years\, the RedKnight team has helped businesses\, Universities and other organisations to source over £20 million of research and innovation income. \nThis workshop will: \n\nIntroduce the principles of writing funding applications using RedKnight’s 15 step proposal planner approach\nMake delegates aware of the various funding programmes available to companies to support research and innovation as well as the similarities and differences between the programmes\nShow how the proposal planner maps onto the major funding streams to facilitate proposal writing\nAllow attendees to leave at the end of the day with an application outline which can be further developed and submitted to the next cut-off date of their chosen funding programme\nProvide an opportunity for discussion and interaction as well as time for “funding surgeries” at the end of the event\n\nTestimonials \n‘“It was our best funding training so far.
