SUMMARY:From reporting to action: How employers can tackle gender pay gaps
DESCRIPTION:The first reporting deadlines have passed with over 10\,000 employers publishing their figures for the 2017 reporting year. Of the 10\,000 who have published their figures\, the median pay gap is around 10% – almost half the national average. However for some\, a much larger gap exists. The focus now is very much on what employers are going to do next. \nMany employers chose to explain their figures in a more detailed report\, setting out how they propose to address any pay or bonus gap. It is hoped that in putting together an action plan\, employers will take tangible steps towards addressing pay inequality and driving the diversity agenda forward. The big question is how and there is no easy fix; the right action plan will depend on the issues faced by the individual employer. Nevertheless there are common themes and key areas that all employers will benefit from considering. \nJoin us for a round table discussion – in conjunction with EHRC – on 7 June to share your experiences in compiling your first gender pay gap reports and discuss how you will be tackling diversity in your organisation going forward. \nWe will be joined by Dr Alison Parken who will share insights from collaborative research with employers to identify the causes of organisational pay gaps and embed long-term change. \nFor more information and to register\, click here.

SUMMARY:SEHTA Medical Device Clinical Strategy & Requirements Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Clinical strategy\, evidence and evaluation are central to product approval and market access. It’s a requirement of the new EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR: article 61) that a medical device company have a regulatory strategy and of the MDR and MEDDEV 2.7/1 rev 4 that the company have a clinical evaluation strategy. \nIn order to generate sales\, organisations need to have thought through the clinical elements for market access as this will put them back months\, if not years\, if not understood and completed when initially gathering clinical evidence. \nCompanies need to be prepared and have solutions in place to address this and their ongoing clinical requirements. Getting your clinical strategy wrong will delay approval and also access. \nOutcomes \n\nUnderstand clinical strategy and how that fits within an overall company strategy\nUnderstand the role of clinical investigations\, evaluations\, evidence and post market clinical follow ups\nUnderstand how clinical evidence and the role of clinical strategy enables market access\nInteract with fellow practitioners and presenters during the Q&A\n\nRead more and register here
