SUMMARY:Celtic Connection: A snapshot of Irish and Welsh Life Sciences
DESCRIPTION:Celtic Connection brings together Life Sciences experience from Wales and Ireland\, as well as leading experts\, academics\, investors and advisors. It will enable businesses from across Wales and Ireland to learn more about trading in these two regions and explore potential for increasing trade\, growth and routes to market. \nDuring the morning session public and private support organisations will lay out what help is available to address the known challenges and opportunities that exist in the sector.  The focus will be on identifying the strengths and potential of Welsh/Irish collaboration. \nThe afternoon concentrates on specific key challenges\, accompanied by real case studies offered by experienced companies who have already trodden that path. There will be two interactive panel sessions on Intellectual Property and Funding. These will consist of a short introduction from an expert in each field from both Wales and Ireland\, followed by a relevant case study from each country and then open discussion and questions. The chance to network is a key part of Celtic Connection and further information will follow to those who have booked a place. \nThe event is enabled by the British Irish Chamber of Commerce and the South and Mid Wales Chambers of Commerce in partnership with the Life Sciences Hub Wales\, the CALIN Project (Celtic Advanced Life Science Innovation Network)\, and the Knowledge Transfer Network. It is timed to coincide with the MediWales Connects NHS Collaboration Conference in Cardiff on the 21st June\, to encourage companies to attend both. \nRegister here
