ProtonDx

Type of organisation: Medical Technology & Diagnostics

ProtonDx is launching a series of cutting‑edge diagnostic tools founded on a decade of research and development at Imperial College London.

Our vision is to develop ultra‑rapid, extremely precise, molecular testing for everyone at the point‑of‑need.

ProtonDx was established in 2020 to commercialise multi‑disciplinary research, developed at Imperial College London to deliver rapid, accurate, multi-pathogen, point of care molecular diagnostics at the point of care globally.

Founded from the lab of Professor Pantelis Georgiou, PDx core technology builds on several years of innovative research in diagnostics, fuelled by unique collaboration between engineering, medicine and molecular biology to deliver cutting edge molecular tests which can be used at the point‑of‑need.

The Dragonfly Respiratory panel was launched in 2022 and is a rapid molecular test for the detection of 5 respiratory viruses in under 30 minutes.  Dragonfly Respiratory Panel accurately detects  the presence of SARS‑CoV‑2, Influenza A, Influenza B, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Human rhinovirus from a single swab sample using the robust LAMP methodology.
