Creo Medical Group Opens Singapore Hub

Creo Medical Group has opened a regional hub in Singapore, which will provide a centre for the commercial roll-out of the Welsh medical device company’s products across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Chepstow-based company is focused on the emerging field of surgical endoscopy, and the new facility, which includes a training centre, demonstration room, service centre and conference room, will provide a base for Creo’s staff working across the region.

The regional hub also forms an important part of Creo’s international strategy, providing direct sales and marketing presence across APAC and will be central to the management of Creo’s distribution partners in the region.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the company selected and engaged with a number of distribution partners in the region including South Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Australia.

The hub will support these partners as they start to satisfy the backlog of demand in their markets as they emerge from the pandemic.

Additionally, it aims to accelerate ongoing technology and product development, with local innovation centres and universities already expressing interest in collaborating and partnering.

Craig Gulliford, chief executive of Creo, said: “It’s fantastic to see this regional hub officially open – it’s a first-rate facility which allows Creo to build on the important groundwork already done as we step up and roll out our products to new and exciting audiences and markets.

“The demand is clear from the engagement we’ve already had, and this commercial hub is a key cog in turning that demand into users and, ultimately, better outcomes for patients across APAC, whilst helping to deliver on our ‘Build, Buy and Partner’ strategy.”
