Diagnostic device business appoints trio of directors to the board

A developer of diagnostic devices with bases in Bristol and Chepstow has appointed three new non-executive directors.

Among those joining the board of éclateral is Sarah Bolt, chief executive and co-founder of diagnostics and data company Forth, which specialises in preventative care for women.

Prior to establishing Forth in January 2016, Bolt worked in healthcare marketing and communications at Consult Health.

Also appointed is Paul Eros, managing director at biotech consulting firm AMICON and previously chief business officer at international molecular diagnostics company Novacyt Group.

Finally, Maggie Throup OBE is a former Member of Parliament for Erewash in Derbyshire and served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (minister for vaccines and public health) during the Covid pandemic.

Prior to Parliament, Throup worked in the diagnostics sector and the NHS.

The appointments come after éclateral secured a lead investor for its seed funding round, which is aiming to raise £1m to secure regulatory approval and support a paid-for pilot in care homes.
