Pioneer Group: Cardiff Regional Accelerator Programme

Pioneer Group has launched the Cardiff Regional Accelerator Programme, in partnership with Welsh Government. A six-week initiative designed to help emerging ventures validate unmet needs, test assumptions, and build commercially viable propositions. This programme is tailored to the strengths of the Welsh life sciences and healthcare ecosystem and provides structured, hands-on support for innovators working at TRL 2-4. It’s an ideal pathway for those exploring commercialisation, translational impact, or early venture development.

Participants will benefit from:

  • A blend of self-directed learning, online workshops, and in-person sessions delivered locally in Cardiff.
  • Expert guidance from specialists experienced in academic spin-outs, MedTech, Therapeutics, Digital Health, and enabling technologies.
  • Open office hours with Programme Leads for tailored venture support.
  • Pitch training from Pioneer Group’s Ventures Team, who have supported hundreds of founders in raising significant investment.
  • A potential route into Pioneer Group’s national accelerator programmes for high-potential ventures.

Who should apply:
