Bevan Commission Innovators – Health Technology Exemplars

The Health Technology Exemplars programme will enable NHS Wales’ staff to work with an industry partner to complete a rapid demonstration and practical evaluation of a promising or innovative health technology.  The chosen health technology must be an existing product or service (ideas/concepts for development and drugs/vaccines are not in scope) and have the potential to improve NHS Wales ways of working, solve a health problem and/or improve health outcomes within its specified clinical area.

Successful projects must have an Executive or Board level sponsor within their NHS Wales organisation and will receive up to £7500 of enablement funding.  Project leads will be provided with structured coaching, mentoring and support through membership of the Bevan Commission’s Bevan Exemplars programme.

The closing date for applications is 12pm on the 15th December 2015.

Please see the attached document ‘Health Technology Exemplars programme and final call for applications’ for full details and information on how NHS Wales staff can apply.

The communications centrepiece for the call is the attached letter which went out from Sir Mansel Aylward, Chair of the Bevan Commission, which went out yesterday.

Whilst project applications need to come from NHS Wales, a key requirement is an industry partner.
