Marie Curie – better end of life care for all

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity.  The charity provides essential nursing and hospice care for people with any terminal illness, delivering expert hands-on care, emotional support and guidance.  Marie Curie employs nearly 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals, and with its nine hospices around the UK, is the largest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS.

The Marie Curie Cardiff and the Vale Hospice is on Bridgeman Road, Penarth and provides round-the-clock expert care and support.   A variety of nursing services across Wales provide care and support to patients and families in their own homes, while volunteers also provide much-needed support to people.

Marie Curie is the largest charity funder of palliative and end of life care research in the UK, with a centre in Cardiff, and is committed to sharing its expertise to improve quality of care and ensuring that everyone has a good end of life experience. Marie Curie is calling for recognition and sustainable funding of end of life care and bereavement support.
