The current developments in plastic electronics and bio-functional materials are leading to a growing commercial and scientific interest in the application of printing technologies and fluid processing in biomedical applications.
The meeting will provide a broad view of the current status of research & development, discussing novel printable biosensors technologies & applications, bio-recognition elements (antibodies, enzymes, DNA) and integration with tissue engineering. Invited speakers will cover the various aspects of the research from fundamental science through to manufacturing and delivery to patients.
The meeting will be open to academics and industrial & health service professionals, providing the opportunity to discuss the future directions of this field.
The meeting will be complemented by an open poster session and the opportunity to visit the new Centre for NanoHealth facilities at the Institute of Life Science 2 .
