Synergy Health Laboratory Services is a provider of a wide range of medical testing to all industry sectors.

 

From our base in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, we are perfectly located to provide fast, accurate screening to clients based all over the United Kingdom. Synergy Health Laboratory Services has a Toxicology laboratory suite and a Pathology Laboratory suite all under the same roof which allows us to provide a huge range of screens from the same place.

Toxicology

Synergy Health Laboratory Services offer a full service of screening for drug and alcohol misuse in the workplace. From the creation, development and implementation of a thorough, concise Substance Misuse policy right through to providing accurate, legally defensible results.

Meticulously trained Synergy Health Laboratory Services collections technicians are able to collect samples using a secure chain of custody method and provide an initial screen on site. Any samples reporting non-negative results during the initial screen are forwarded to the laboratory for further scrutiny and accurate levels of the offending drug/s are reported to the employer. At Synergy Health Laboratory Services we are proud to boast the only UKAS accredited Collections Service in the UK highlighting the commitment we continuously make to ensure our Collections Technicians are the as methodical as can be.

Synergy Health Laboratory Services mainly deal with urine samples for toxicology testing, but we do have the technology and the ability to screen oral fluid and hair samples also.

Pathology

Synergy Health Laboratory Services has a fully CPA accredited Pathology suite able to provide haematology, biochemistry, microbiology and virology testing. A large amount of the pathology testing we provide is for occupational health companies although we are receiving steady rises in requests from companies undertaking pre-employment screens of potential new employees.

The most commonly requested pathology screen through Synergy Health Laboratory Services is a full blood count; the results of which can indicate conditions such as anaemia, bacterial or viral infection and blood clotting disorders. Other popular tests include liver function tests, urea and creatinine, Hepatitis B surface antigen and Hepatitis B core antibody.
