On the 18th September 2015, the University and the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board will be hosting a Research Showcase for research in disciplines relevant to the Health and Medical sectors. The conference will take place between 9am and 4pm at the Reichel Conference Centre, Bangor University.

The conference is intended to be an opportunity to:

• Showcase the high quality research taking place in the University and the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
• Provide an environment for discussion and exploring research interests and capacities in both organisation.
• Better understand the established links various research teams have with researchers across and outside the region.

The conference will include plenary sessions to offer sector context but is being primarily shaped around an opportunity for researchers to present papers on their current research and future plans and will be supplemented by a poster conference. Abstracts would be welcomed from across the research base in both organisations across all fields disciplines relevant to the Health and Medical sectors.

The relationship between the BCUHB and the University is attracting attention with colleagues across Wales and senior colleagues from Welsh Government, and will not only provide an opportunity to build links and profile in the region, but also highlight opportunities at a national level.
