Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, are investing up to £4.5m in innovation projects in the Creative Technologies Sector, to develop digital therapeutic Extended Reality (XR) solutions for mental health care. The aim is to enable improved delivery of mental health and wellbeing services, through the application of immersive technologies. This R&D funding is part of the broader £20m Mindset Programme that runs to 2026, and includes an Investor Partnerships scheme, further R&D funding rounds and a bespoke innovation support function to help businesses access the mental healthcare market more quickly and stay there for longer.

Suitable for creative companies (gaming, XR), MedTech, social care, health board professionals, charities and social enterprises providing mental health support.
