This event builds on a KTN study that investigated the challenges and barriers to taking sensing technologies into medical applications. It addresses the challenges of commercialising medical sensing devices and highlights the experiences of a range of organisations that have successfully overcome these challenges.
Hear from large medical device and diagnostics companies on what they look for and how they go about interacting with technology SMEs and academics, see presentations on a wide range of innovative medical sensing technologies and find out about support services available to help organisations operating in this area.
Organised by the Electronics, Sensors, Photonics KTN with support from the Health Tech and Medicines KTN, the event will be of interest to organisations involved in the research, development and commercialisation of sensing technologies for medical sensing applications.
The programme includes presentations from Alere, Atlas Genetics, Philips Research, Michelson Diagnostics, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Monica Healthcare, and the Technology Strategy Board as well as elevator pitches from DialogDevices, L3 Technology, Moor Instruments, Applied Nanodetectors, Health Enterprises East, HealthTech and Medicines KTN and Medilink WM.
