UK life science funding hit a 10 year high in 2015, after many years of investment drought and with significant investment from national and regional governments, this is a very exciting time for our industry. MediWales, the life science network for Wales, is collaborating with the BioIndustry Association (BIA) to bring you “Investing in Innovation – the Future of Life Science in Wales” at the GE Innovation Village in Cardiff on 11th February 2016. Steve Bates, CEO of BIA will give a keynote presentation on recent developments in UK and international investment landscape and an update on the potential impact of support for our industry from the new UK government. The programme will include:

  • Talks from the London Stock Exchange
  • Welsh industry showcase and technology presentations
  • Tour of the GE Innovation Village and tenant companies
  • Panel discussions from investors and politicians to explore the future of life science in Wales and UK

A key event for investor ready SMEs and start up companies, the day provides a chance to engage with investors, innovators and enablers and to be briefed on the latest developments in raising finance and fundraising in the life science sector. To learn more about showcasing your company or new technology, please contact Isabelle.

We will also be hosting a politician discussion panel to explore what the future holds for the life science industry in Wales. This is your opportunity to join the debate, influence policy makers, give your views and make a difference.
