A new round of Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competitions have been launched by the SBRI Healthcare programme team this month. The second of two competition rounds in 2014, the calls are part of NHS England’s strategic approach to innovation set out in the Innovation Health and Wealth (IHW) report published in December 2011.

This competition round will feature 5 new clinical themes selected in partnership with the Academic Health Science Networks across England. This will provide the maximum opportunity for businesses to come forward with their ideas. The clinical themes selected are: Medical Imaging; Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services; Brain Injury; Diabetic Foot Ulcers; and Enhancing out-patient services.

The London seminar will cover Medical Imaging; Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services; and Brain Injury.

Attend this seminar to gain an understanding of:

– the clinical challenges in each of the competition themes

– the key requirements of each call,

– how the SBRI process works, the application process and important deadlines.
