Stratified Medicine – Opportunities for Business is a FREE business event for those seeking to understand the latest developments in personalised healthcare from detection and diagnosis to data harvesting. This event is co-hosted by Space IDEAS Hub at the University of Leicester, Medilink East Midlands and BioCity Nottingham.

The morning session will begin with Dr Alasdair Gaw, Lead Specialist in Stratified Medicine at the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) outlining the TSB vision and approach to stratified medicine.

Keynote speaker is Colin Callow, Head of the NHS National Innovation Centre on how the NHS is championing innovation to improve patient outcomes. A drill down into data mining will follow looking at how data is collected, managed and utilised. Professor Tim Coates, Consultant, Leicester Royal Infirmary will give an insight into the Leicester Diagnostic Development Unit.

The afternoon session includes talks aimed at helping your business develop products and services to meet the demands of stratified medicine. The Intellectual Property Office will present on understanding and protecting your IP. Catapult Ventures Ltd will speak on accessing Business Angel and Venture Capital funding.

There are also business opportunities to reach new clients by marketing your company through two-minute presentations to all the other delegates. Furthermore you can promote your company with a poster or roller banner in our networking area all free of charge.
