Welsh Government Seminar: Doing Business with Libya

In September Welsh Government commissioned a report on trading opportunities with Libya. The report has indicated significant opportunities in most of the sectors, healthcare being one of the priority areas. We are consequently organising a seminar on “Doing Business with Libya”, which will be conducted by the report’s authors and attended by Mr Hesham Ghrairi, Commercial Attaché at the Libyan Embassy. The event will be opened by the Permanent Secretary.

The seminar will take place at Mercure Holland House, Cardiff on 3rd December. In addition to highlighting the trade opportunities presented by Libya in various sectors it will also tackle issues such as the current political and security situation.

 Programme:

8:45am Coffee / networking

9:15 Opening remarks by the Permanent Secretary

9:30 A series of presentations on:

– Overview of Libya

– Political Situation

– Security Issues

– Sector opportunities

– Doing Business in Libya

– Q & A with the Commercial Attaché for the Libyan Embassy

12:15 Lunch

13:00 -15:00 One-to-ones

If companies are able to stay after lunch the course leaders will be available for one-to-one discussions on trading with Libya to answer any specific queries which you may have, in addition to which Welsh Government advisors will be on hand to provide guidance on trade and generic Welsh Government business support such as Repayable Business Finance and the Workforce Development Programme etc. If you would like to make an appointment with any or all of these advisors please indicate your requirements on the attached response form.
