  1. Health Inequalities in Maternity Care
  2. Autism and Learning Disabilities

Call opened: Monday 23rd May 2022

Call deadlinesWednesday 6th July 2022

1. Health Inequalities in Maternity Care

Health inequalities in Maternity care is still a huge challenge and this SBRI Healthcare competition will seek to address some of the unmet needs associated with the early identification and stratification of risks for the mothers and the babies, the issues surrounding the services and support for women with mental health issues during the perinatal pathway. The competition is also looking at innovative solutions to tackle disparities and accessibility barriers with digital records and reconsider community monitoring to empower women and their families to care for their babies closer to home.

2. Autism and Learning Disabilities

Living with autism and a learning disability can be difficult for patients and their families due to significant health inequalities these communities face, including lack of access to sufficient support and care.

Despite attempts to tackle these challenges across a range of settings and services, the pressures on healthcare systems has continued to grow.

This SBRI Healthcare competition seeks innovative solutions that will tackle challenges around the early detection of autism and/or learning disabilities, and around the provision of appropriate and relevant support and care equally to patients, their families and carers.
