Ceryx Medical are developing a new generation of medical devices based on their unique bio electronics technology. Their first product is a cardiac pacemaker specifically designed for the treatment of heart failure. 1in 3 adults in the US have Stage A heart failure.  The NHS spends 2% of its budget just on heart failure – around £3Bn every year. It is currently incurable, with 50% of patients dying within 5 years of diagnosis. Ceryx’s pacing technology can restore function to the failing heart, relieve patients symptoms and induce repair in damaged heart tissue. Ceryx is looking to begin first-in-human evaluation of this technology in Q1 2023. Their pipeline includes innovative new device therapies for hypertension, dysphagia and spinal cord injuries.
