2 MediWales members short listed for National Medilink UK Innovation Awards!

This week it was confirmed that MediWales members Chromogenex and Vital Smile Systems have been shortlisted for the national Medilink UK Innovation Awards taking place in London on 8th March 2011. 

Both these members won Awards at the MediWales Innovation Awards Ceremony on December 1st 2010. The ceremony was sponsored by Geldards LLP, GE healthcare and Cardiff University’s Department for Innovation and Engagement, and played host to over 200 valued members and stakeholders. 

Chromogenex won both MediWales’s Export Achievement and Outstanding Growth Awards for their increase in sales figures both at home and abroad. Chromogenex designs, develops and manufactures laser and light based systems for medical and cosmetic applications such as acne, psoriasis, skin rejuvenation, hair removal, and non-invasive fat reduction and vascular lesions. This award was sponsored by Teamworks Design Ltd. 

Vital Smile Systems won MediWales’s Start-Up award for for its non-invasive, painless, pulp vitality tester, which aims to increase dentist productivity and improve patient care. This award was sponsored by Swansea University’s Institute of Life Science.

Congratulations again to all MediWales winners – Let’s hope Chomogenex and Vital Smile Systems come back to Wales in March with national awards in tow!
