An exciting collaboration involving expertise and state-of-the-art facilities from the Centre for Nanohealth and eHealth  Industries Innovation (ehi2) Centre at Swansea University has been reported via Euronews. The research project focusses on developing a  non-invasive, ambulatory and continuous blood glucose monitoring system using  novel sensors and mobile networks to detect blood glucose levels in diabetic patients.

The report features Dr. Vincent Teng, a nanoelectronics expert from the College of Engineering who is  leading the project, and David Ford, Director of ehi2 at Swansea  University. It outlines the long term potential for blood glucose monitoring  and prospective benefits to the 366 million patients with type-1 and type-2 diabetes worldwide.
