Written Statement: Appointment of Vice Chair and Independent Members to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board

Following an open public appointment process and in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments, I am delighted to announce the appointment of a permanent vice chair and two new independent members to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

The new vice chair of the board is Gareth Williams. The two new independent members are Urtha Felda and Caroline Turner.

All three appointees bring a wealth of experience and knowledge and will add strength to the board.

Recruitment is underway for a permanent chair and three further independent members. These appointments will be announced in due course and will ensure the board has the appropriate skills and expertise to lead the organisation through Special Measures.
